Hi Donna!

I wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you again for your performance. As you could probably tell, you were not only appreciated by my Mother, but the four generations of her extended family as well. I look forward to sharing a post for you on Facebook!

The card and gift of Sweet Adeline albums was very special and much appreciated.

Thank you again for making my Mother’s special day even more special.

Kind regards,

Bill Mech

5.2.16 – Review on Gig Salad for surprise job

The group did a great and creative job helping customize a short presentation for a lady I’m dating. We were in touch a good bit, I was consulted about possible personal details they could work into their routine, and their suggestion of songs was excellent. My lady was impressed, enjoyed the performance, and meeting the group. Thank you.

Dear Laura and all,

We all would like to Thank you for the fun evening. You did a great job pulling in the quilting bit. The laughter is such a mood lifter and thank you for that.

I was a bit apprehensive that you might have trouble finding the location, but you did fantastic and the weather was great. Your timing was perfect.

12.24.12 – Performance in Akron for Eastern Star Luncheon

Ladies,

Thank you for a wonderful performance on Oct. 19, 2012. All of the ladies in the audience were awe-struck with your performance. I have been to a number of barbershop quartet performances but non have left an audience laughing so much. As they say in the acting world you should leave you audience wanting more and you did that.

From the point of view of the organizer you gave me exactly what I asked. So often performers go over the time allotment and cause the program to get behind schedule. I asked for a 20 min. program and you stuck to the contract. I thank you for that as do the rest of the audience. Because of your attention to time my program ended in a timely manner, thank you.

Again there was nothing but praise for your routine, thank you.

Pam Todd

Dear Jen, Donna, Jean, and Laura,

WOW! Your performance made my dad’s 90th birthday party an event that not only he, but all the guests, will count as one of the most memorable evenings of their lives–and remember we’re talking about folks who have seen quite a bit in their long lifetimes! Your song choices were perfect. Thank you for personalizing them for Dad–that made it all the more special. My sisters and I wanted to have a special evening for him, and the Sidekicks made that happen! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

From:
Bob Parker, Show Chairman
Greater Pittsburgh Chapter
Barbershop Harmony Society

On Saturday, May 19th the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter held its’ 68th annual show at Gateway Middle School in Monroeville, PA.  The show was opened with our national anthem sung by the Sidekicks quartet of the Greater Harmony Chorus.  Their arrangement is one of the best I have heard.  Members of the quartet are Lead Jennifer Fogle; Bass Jean Forti; Baritone Donna Knapp; Tenor Laura Covell.

Just  before intermission Sidekicks entertained the audience with a number of songs that were original (sort of) and probably arranged by their lead Jennifer Fogle.  They started with their version of “Fernando’s Hideaway” and continued with such titles as “Short People”, “Wheels on a Big Rig”, and ending with “Goodnight Sweetheart”.  Members of the audience loved their style.  They sang a few more numbers at our afterglow party and again were very entertaining.

As a side note, Donna Knapp their baritone did a dance routine during the chorus’ singing of “Five Foot Two”.  Donna is the wife of Gordon Knapp who is a lead in the Three Rivers Chorus.

I was fortunate to be present at your performance this afternoon at Chartiers Country  Club.  It was wonderful and completely different from any other I’ve seen.  I know I’m preaching to the choir (no pun intended) but it really was great!  I belong to a couple of other organizations and would like some info regarding your charges.  Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving.

Dear Donna:
Just a note to say the Sidekicks were the hit of our holiday party.  I had many calls today saying how great you gals were.  Our clients enjoyed all the interaction.  You entire program was so entertaining and adding the Christmas song was perfect.  We wish all of you a blessed holiday season, sharing your talents with others.  Safe travel and until we meet again, may all your days be happy ones.  Happy New Year.
